Overview

The Faxon Duty Series AR-15 barrel is engineered in 300 AAC Blackout with a 10.5-inch length and a 1:8 twist rate. Machined entirely in-house from certified 4150 CMV steel, it features a durable QPQ black nitride finish on both the interior and exterior surfaces to ensure longevity and wear resistance. Each barrel undergoes magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and is air-gauge tested to guarantee superior accuracy. Designed with Faxon's proprietary Gunner contour—a hybrid profile combining the durability of a government profile with the weight savings and balance of a pencil profile—this barrel reduces shooter fatigue during extended sessions. This specific model features a pre-notched gas block journal and includes a pinned low-profile gas block with a .750-inch diameter to eliminate shifting during firing. Additional specifications include a pistol-length gas system, 5/8"-24 muzzle threads, an M4 barrel extension, and an 11-degree target crown.
