Machined from solid blocks of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with an anodized matte black coating, it is built using the same Clymer reamers employed by gunsmiths and barrel makers to compare cartridges against minimum SAAMI chamber dimensions. This 3-inch gauge allows reloaders to verify case length and bullet seating depth. Users simply drop a loaded round into the block; if the round fits flush with the top, it will reliably fit in the firearm's chamber.
