DoubleTap Ammunition Snake Shot is specialty ammunition designed for .500 S&W Magnum revolvers, intended for small game and pest control applications. Each round is loaded with a 380 grain payload consisting of a hardcast full wadcutter beneath a charge of #9 shot. The #9 shot is designed not to take the revolver's rifling, producing a predictable and tight pattern spread rather than centrifugal dispersion, while the hardcast wadcutter provides deep penetration.
