Overview

The Daniel Defense 14.5-inch 5.56x45mm NATO barrel is constructed from Mil-Spec 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel using a cold hammer-forging process. This method involves shaping the steel around a mandrel to produce a defect-free bore and a highly consistent chamber. The barrel is finished with a Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating and features a government profile, which is slim under the handguard and heavier forward of the gas block. The bore and chamber are chrome-lined to provide durability and resistance to corrosion and wear. The barrel includes an A4 extension with extended M4 feed ramps for improved feeding reliability. It features a 1:7" rifling twist, designed to stabilize medium-to-heavy projectiles up to approximately 77 grains. This barrel is compatible with standard 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition.
