Overview

The Daniel Defense M4A1 CA-compliant semi-automatic rifle is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO with a 10+1 capacity. Built on an AR-15 platform, it features a 14-inch cold hammer-forged M4 profile chrome moly vanadium steel barrel with a 1:7 twist, chrome lining, heavy phosphate coating, and a permanently attached flash suppressor. The upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a type III hard coat anodized finish, complemented by a Flat Dark Earth M4A1 Rail Interface System (RIS) II quad rail. Additional components include a pinned low-profile gas block, an H buffer, an independently ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, an M16-profile bolt carrier group, and a 6-position MIL-SPEC receiver extension. The rifle is equipped with a glass-filled polymer buttstock and pistol grip featuring SoftTouch overmolding, and is finished with a black hard coat anodized receiver paired with an FDE handguard.
