Overview

The Carlson's Universal Hammer Spur Extension is an ambidextrous tool designed to increase the ease of cocking on nearly every firearm with an exposed hammer, including rifles, shotguns, handguns, and Thompson/Center Contenders. Featuring a silver finish with knurled ends for a positive, non-slip grip, the unit measures 1.5 inches in overall length and 0.375 inches in diameter. It installs easily by sliding over the hammer and tightening the set screw with the provided hex wrench. Note that minor fitting may be required to clear the frame at full cock on models equipped with cross-bar safeties, such as Henry, Marlin, Rossi, and Winchester.
