Buffalo Bore Personal Defense Strictly Business .45 ACP +P ammunition is engineered for maximum stopping power and self-defense applications. Loaded to maximum SAAMI specifications using flash-suppressed powders to prevent night-vision blinding, this ammunition delivers a muzzle velocity of 1,150 fps and 543 ft-lbs of muzzle energy from its 185-grain Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) bullet. These new-production rounds feature boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases and non-corrosive powder. While externally and dimensionally identical to standard .45 ACP and suitable for any .45 ACP firearm in normal operating condition, the increased pressure and slide velocity of +P loads mean shooters firing more than a box or two should consider upgrading to a heavier recoil spring, such as a Wolf Spring providing 4 to 6 additional pounds of weight.
