The Briley Drop-In Spherical 1911 Government Barrel Bushing features a .580-inch ring and is constructed from stainless steel. This component is designed to improve 1911 accuracy and reliability by reducing the gap between the barrel and the slide. The unique spherical ring system maintains perfect alignment throughout the cycle of operation. This bushing is intended for slides with standard dimensions at the bushing opening. To ensure proper fit, the ring to barrel interface should be measured at the muzzle; the ring is designed to be 0.001 inches larger than the outside diameter of the barrel. During installation, the spherical ring must be correctly seated in the horizontal cut of the bushing to ensure proper linear movement.
