Bore Tech Proof Positive Rifle Cleaning Jag 44, 45 Caliber 8-32 Thread Alloy

Overview

Bore Tech Proof Positive rifle patch jags are designed to provide an accurate assessment of bore cleanliness by eliminating the false copper fouling indications associated with traditional brass jags. These jags are constructed from a proprietary 100% brass-free alloy that is barrel-safe yet features high tensile strength to prevent bending under pressure. Each jag features two sets of four contact rings to provide concentric pressure on the barrel surface and ensure thorough cleaning. The rounded first ring allows the jag to center itself in the bore to prevent damage to the rifling, while the subsequent squared rings securely grip the patch. The relief space between the rings acts as a solvent reservoir to dispense cleaner during the stroke. The jags include a reverse taper at the rear for a smooth transition with cleaning rods, preventing damage to the firearm's crown. This model is sized for .44/.45 caliber firearms and utilizes an 8-32 thread pitch.
