Bore Tech Proof-Positive rifle patch jags for .30 caliber are manufactured from a proprietary, 100% brass-free alloy. This material eliminates false-positive indications of copper fouling that occur with traditional brass jags when using copper-removing solvents. The alloy provides high tensile strength to prevent bending while remaining safe for the barrel. The jags feature a dual set of four contact rings to provide concentric pressure and effectively clean the bore. The rounded first ring aids in centering the jag in the chamber, while the subsequent rings square the patch for cleaning. A reverse taper at the rear of the jag facilitates a smooth transition between the jag and cleaning rod, and the relief space between ring sets acts as a solvent reservoir.
