Overview

Bore Tech Proof Positive Rifle Cleaning Jags are 100% brass-free, barrel-safe, and chemically resistant. Designed to eliminate false indications of copper fouling common with traditional brass jags, these tools allow shooters to accurately determine when a bore is clean. They are constructed from a proprietary alloy that matches the softness of brass but offers higher tensile strength to prevent bending or snapping under pressure. Each jag features a dual set of four contact rings. The first ring in each set is rounded to center the jag and prevent damage, while the subsequent three rings have squared faces to hold cleaning patches in place. The relief space between the ring sets functions as a solvent reservoir, and the rear of the jag features a reverse taper for a smooth transition between the jag and the cleaning rod. This 17-caliber jag features a 5-40 thread pitch.
