Each rod features a 48-inch coated spring steel core that provides high rigidity to minimize bow and flex while protecting the barrel from damage. The rod is equipped with a non-brass, chemical-resistant Proof-Positive tip, which eliminates the false indication of copper fouling often found with traditional brass components. The tip is replaceable and features a female 8-32 thread, allowing for seamless transitions between jags and brushes without requiring additional adapters. The rod includes a dual ball-bearing handle design for smooth rotation that follows the barrel's rifling. The handle features a non-slip rubber grip with an industry-exclusive barrel twist rate identification system, utilizing an index dot to help shooters determine the rifling twist. The rod diameter is .289 inches, and the assembly is finished with a durable, low-friction polymer coating to prevent marring of the firearm's crown.
