The Bootleg AR-15 receiver set includes a matched upper and stripped lower receiver, both machined from 7075 billet aluminum with a MIL-SPEC hard anodized finish. The upper receiver is designed for weight reduction, featuring an eliminated forward assist and a low-profile brass deflector with a captured dust cover door pin. The 'Smuggler' lower receiver includes an ambidextrous bolt release, a fully enclosed trigger guard, and a lightly flared magazine well. Additional features include an adjustable set screw for a tight upper-to-lower fit, threaded pins for bolt release installation, and a set screw to retain the rear detent spring.
