Overview

Berger VLD (Very Low Drag) Hunting bullets in .30 caliber (.308 diameter) are 185-grain jacketed hollow point projectiles designed for long-range hunting and match-grade accuracy. They feature a sharp nose geometry that minimizes aerodynamic drag and maintains high velocity over distances of 300 yards or more. The design utilizes a thinner J4 Precision jacket, allowing the bullet to penetrate 2 to 3 inches before initiating rapid expansion. Upon expansion, the bullet sheds 40% to 85% of its weight as shrapnel, creating a massive wound cavity that is typically 13 to 15 inches long. This process is intended to dump energy effectively within the vital area of the game. For best results, Berger recommends seating these bullets to touch the rifling, though users should ensure the resulting cartridge length is compatible with their magazine. Each box contains 100 bullets.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
