Overview

The Bergara Premier MgLite is a lightweight, packable bolt-action rifle designed for precision shooting. It features a 22-inch CURE carbon fiber barrel and an XLR Element 4.0 magnesium folding chassis that allows for a fully free-floated barrel. The rifle is built on the proprietary Bergara Premier action, which utilizes a two-lug system with a floating bolt head, a cone-shaped bolt nose for smooth feeding, and a sliding plate extractor. The stainless steel one-piece bolt body, bolt head, and gas shield are fully Nitrided for enhanced durability. Equipped with a TriggerTech Frictionless Release Technology trigger, the system includes a two-position safety integrated into the trigger assembly. A notable design feature is that the bolt handle does not lock in the closed position, allowing the rifle to be unloaded while the safety is engaged. The MgLite combines custom-grade performance features with standardized assembly for consistent reliability.
