Overview

The Barrett Model 98B is a bolt-action, precision long-range rifle chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. It features a 24-inch heavy barrel and a straight-line design that runs from the efficient muzzle brake to the shooter's shoulder to effectively mitigate recoil. The rifle is fed by a 10-round detachable magazine and utilizes an oversized bolt handle for smooth cycling through a polymer guide. The aluminum upper receiver includes an integrated M1913 optics rail for mounting long-range optics or night vision devices. The forward receiver is drilled and tapped to accommodate accessory rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions using KeyMod. Designed for shooter adaptability, the 98B features an adjustable match trigger, an adjustable cheek piece, and an ergonomic pistol grip. The intuitive thumb-operated safety is positioned for access without compromising the firing grip.
