Overview

The Barnes Tipped TSX 7mm 140 gr bullet is a 100% lead-free, copper projectile designed for precision hunting. Featuring a streamlined polymer tip, this bullet offers an improved ballistic coefficient and long-range ballistics compared to the standard TSX line. The re-engineered nose cavity and tip promote rapid expansion upon impact. The bullet body includes multiple rings cut into the shank to reduce pressure. Upon expansion, the four razor-sharp cutting petals double the bullet's diameter, ensuring deep penetration and near 100% weight retention. These bullets are not loaded ammunition; Barnes recommends initially seating them 0.050" off the lands, with optimal accuracy typically found between 0.030" and 0.070" off the lands depending on the specific rifle.
