Overview

The Armored Republic A4 is a 6" x 6" Level III++ side body armor plate designed to be carried in a plate carrier's cummerbund. Constructed from an AR600 steel and titanium alloy blend, the plate provides edge-to-edge multi-hit protection. It is rated to stop 7.62x51mm M80A1 rounds at 2,800 ft/s and 5.56x45mm M193 rounds at 3,250 ft/s. This plate features a curved profile and is finished with a Build-Up Coat, which is designed to capture bullet fragmentation rather than deflecting it. The plate measures 0.55" in thickness and weighs approximately 3.25 lbs.
