Overview

Armaspec Enhanced Takedown and Pivot Pins are machined from steel with a black nitride finish, designed as a direct replacement for standard pins in 5.56/.223 AR-15 platforms. This set includes an EZ-Set hole drilled through the pin to simplify detent installation and prevent the loss of small components. The pins are designed with a convex head to allow for tapping from multiple angles and an extended concave tip to facilitate removal with a pointed object or bullet tip. These components are intended to improve the lockup between the upper and lower receivers, reducing mechanical play during operation.
