Overview

The Area 419 Sidewinder Magnum Self-Timing Brake is a precision-engineered muzzle device designed for .338 caliber rifles. Crafted from heat-treated 17-4PH stainless steel with a durable Black Nitride finish, the brake features a 5/8"x24 thread pitch. It utilizes a proprietary progressive port design and rearward-facing ports to provide significant recoil reduction and control muzzle rise without the need for top porting. The brake measures 3.35 inches in length with a 1.125-inch outer diameter, while the collar has a 1.275-inch outer diameter; the total assembly weighs 7.5 ounces and adds approximately 2.75 inches to the barrel length. The Sidewinder system features a unique, easy-to-install design that ensures the brake does not rotate during the torque process, allowing for precise alignment. A simple, round knurled nut eliminates the need for tools to time the brake, and the system maintains an excellent return-to-zero, meaning no zero adjustment is needed after removal and re-installation. The face of the brake is engraved with the caliber and a horizontal line to assist with correct leveling during installation. The unit is manufactured on CNC machines in the USA.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
