Overview

The Aero Precision M5 Atlas S-One Handguard is a 15-inch rail designed for AR-10 and LR-308 platforms, featuring a Cerakote Sniper Gray finish. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the S-One is designed for lightweight builds with a slim profile. It utilizes the proprietary ATLAS Taper Lock attachment system, which uses two mirrored, tapered locking nuts to provide even clamping pressure across the barrel nut, secured by a ratcheting detent. Key features include front and rear Picatinny rail sections, an open top design for weight reduction, and indexing grooves at the 12 o'clock position. The handguard includes integrated quick-disconnect sling sockets at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions and is compatible with low-profile gas blocks. It is designed to match seamlessly with M5 threaded upper receivers, though it is not compatible with M5E1 Enhanced or certain billet upper receivers due to indexing tabs.
