Overview

The Aero Precision Atlas R-One M-LOK handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and designed for 9-inch AR-15 platforms. Featuring a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish, this handguard utilizes the proprietary ATLAS Taper Lock Attachment System, which uses two mirrored tapered locking nuts and a turnbuckle screw to provide evenly distributed clamping pressure on a custom barrel nut. The design includes a ratcheting detent for secure registration and prevents the distortion often caused by traditional mounting methods. The R-One is built for a slim profile with a 1.3-inch inside diameter and a 1.5-inch outside diameter. It includes a full-length top Picatinny rail, quick-disconnect sling sockets at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, and is compatible with low-profile gas blocks and standard Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receivers. Note that this handguard is not compatible with M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receivers or certain billet receivers with indexing tabs.
