Overview

The Aero Precision Minimal Optical Deflection (MOD) 4 handguard in OD Green Anodized finish is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum to combine structural stiffness with an ergonomic profile. Engineered to significantly reduce deflection under load, it mounts to the upper receiver via a steel barrel nut that minimizes point-of-impact shift when using infrared laser aiming devices. The handguard features a full-length 7-sided M-LOK interface for customization and four steel-reinforced Quick Disconnect (QD) sling sockets designed to prevent premature wear. Installation is streamlined by a barrel nut design that eliminates timing requirements and matches mil-spec castle nut patterns. Additionally, two anti-rotation set screws provide redundant alignment when paired with third-party upper receivers. It has a 1.2-inch internal diameter, is compatible with low-profile gas blocks, and is designed to match M4E1 threaded upper receivers, PRO series components, and mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers.
